Booking Through Thursday (09.17.09)

This Thursday BTT asks: What’s the most enjoyable, most fun, most just-darn-entertaining book you’ve read recently?
I’m going to have to go back to one of my answers for Recent Fluff for this one: Hox Six by Janet Evanovich. It was fun and entertaining, nothing more, nothing less. Stephanie gets in over her head, destroys a couple cars, enjoys some sexual tension with both Morelli and Ranger. Lula gets all excited about bustin’ some caps and breakin’ down doors. Ditto Grandma Mazur.
It’s what I sometimes like to call literary crack. It’s not good for you, but man is it enjoyable, and when it’s done you’re left wanting more.

I finally read a Stephanie Plum book. It was a nice fluffy read. Here is mine
While I never joined the Janet Evanovich bandwagon, I completely understand the need for “literary crack” – or “mind candy,” as I call it. Sometimes, you have to lighten up.
I love, love, love the Stephanie Plum books! I’m up to book #14 in the series.
You were right! I do love your BTT! I have never heard of Breaker High. I am def. going to have to look it up!
Maybe that’s because it was a Canadian series. But you should check it out, if only for the young Ryan Gosling :)
Bluestocking – The are great fun :)
MissMeliss – The Stephanie Plum series is fantastic mind candy! I highly recommend trying one next time you need to feed your literary sweet tooth.
Yvonne – I know, I’m a bit behind, but I’m taking my time, savouring the series :)
I’m loving the term ‘literary crack’. It’s pretty accurate!
It’s the term my mom and I use for pretty much any chick lit :)
I read my first Plum story this past month and found it to be a blast!
I’m glad you liked it! I tend to space them out, but I know I’m going to be in for a good time when I crack a new one open.
this series cracks me up! i actually live in ‘jersey’ and have an extra appreciation for some of the humor. :)
I love that these books are so packed full of outrageousness, but I’m sure there are some things that fly right over my head!
oops! i commented as my ‘alter ego’, curly wurly! i’m natalie from book, line, and sinker too!!!
