Monday Round Up (01.18.10)

January 17, 2010

on_mondays“What are you reading on Mondays” is a weekly event hosted by J. Kaye that lets you share books you’ve read over the past week and books you have coming up.

Finished:
Seven Up by Janet Evanovich
Labour Day by Joyce Maynard

Still plugging away: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon (Actually this one is on hold for the moment. Might pick it up again later in the week)

Up next: Either Paper Towns by John Green or Austenland by Shannon Hale. Or something completely different, haven’t decided yet!

sb10067729n-003Mailbox Monday is a weekly event hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page.

Oh, what a wonderful week it was for books and goodies!

Bought:
The Secret Shopper’s Revenge by Kate Harrison
Before I Forget by Melissa Hill

Won: Barnes & Noble Gift Card (from Stacy at Stacy’s Books)

Secret Santa!
My secret santa gift arrived from Korianne at Korianne Speaks. First let’s just look at everything all wrapped up. How cute is that. And yes, she even made the wrapping paper.

And what was inside, you ask? Well, let me show you the goodies it held.

* Paper Towns by John Green
* The Stolen One by Suzanne Crowley
* 3 handmade bookmarks
* snowman magnet (which is currently hanging out on our fridge)
* very sweet card

Thank you Korianne!

What are you reading? Did any new books find their way into your possession?

    As you know, I loved Paper Towns, but Austenland is another good one. It’s a fun book. Of course, after reading it I had to devote several hours to re-watching the BBC mini-series version of Pride and Prejudice aka the one with Colin Firth. So, be warned!

      Ha! Sounds good to me, but I should probably forward that warning off to my husband :)

    What a great secret santa! Love all of that. I’d pick Austenland for the next read because it was cute and light and you’ll speed through it.

    She has wrapped it up so sweetly!
