Reviewathon! Oct 14 – 16
Last week when I joined April’s Impromptu Readathon I joked that what I really needed was a Reviewathon. It turns out I’m not the only one, according to some of the comments I got. So, I’ve decided to set aside the weekend of October 14 to work on reviews, primarily so I can get all caught up before the 24hr Readathon the following week. (Speaking of which, if you haven’t signed up for the Readathon yet, do it now!)
If you would like to join me in spewing out a bunch of reviews that weekend, I’d love the company!
The reviewathon weekend will be pretty simple and straight forward:
1) Sign up below
2) Write up and schedule as many posts as you can from October 14 – 16. You don’t have to participate the entire time, just whenever you can squeeze in an hour or two for reviews.
3) Keep each other updated and encouraged in blog comments or on Twitter using hashtag #reviewathon
4) Check back here on Tuesday, October 17 for the wrap up post and let me know how you did!
.
My goal for the weekend is to write reviews for the following:
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke
Persuasion by Jane Austen
The American Heiress by Daisy Goodwin
The Last Unicorn by Peter S Beagle
The Witches of East End by Melissa de la Cruz
Record Collecting for Girls by Courtney E. Smith
+ whatever I finish between now and then.

Jonathan Strange has been languishing on my shelf for a long time now. I should get around to reading it one of these days. :D
I would LOVE to do this, but I may be out of town that weekend. I’ll come back once I know for sure!
I’m in!!! :-)
Yay!
I do really need a reviewathon. Not sure if I’ll have the time that weekend, but I’ll try.
I NEED to do this, but weekends are hard for me, especially during football season.
What a great idea! I hope to be caught up on reviews before then, but if not, I’m with you!
I’m pretty tempted to join this but I just checked my schedule and I have 2 exams later that week so should probably use the time to study instead :(
October weekend are pretty busy for me but I’ll try to join as I really need to get through my review pile!
You have scary mind reading powers! I’m all over this one, thanks so much for hosting.
Thanks so much for joining! Good luck with your reviews :)
Dang it! Since most of my blog reading is done on weekends, I always miss the upcoming weekend events. I could totally use one of these. I won’t join officially, but I’ll try to get a few written :-) Good luck!
Not sure I’ll link up but I’ll try to remember to come by and cheer you on!
My husband’s going out of town for the weekend, so I think this will work for me! Thanks for the reminder.
Great! So glad you can join in!
Ok! Since you corrected me on the date, I can actually plan ahead! I’m four books behind at the moment, probably another one or two by the weekend, so this will be good. Not sure how many hours I”ll actually be able to write for, but I’ll get at least something done!
Excellent! Well, not that you’re behind… but … you know :)
Ooooh a reviewathon… thanks Nymeth for retweeting this.
Last year I used to review every book I read but I’ve fallen fast out of that good habit so… yes I am in.
Hi Fiona! Thanks for joining in!
Ah yes, the good old days of being prompt and caught up on reviews. I remember when I used to write reviews as soon as I finished a book and before I started a new one. Those were the days.
Count me in! I have a ton of books to review and this would really push me to get it done. Good luck everyone!
Woohoo! Good luck to you too!
