Weekly Round Up (06.13.11)

June 12, 2011

These were my 5 most listened to tunes from the last week:

1. Red Heart by Hey Rosetta!
2. Sad Song by The Cars (This was the iTunes download card at Starbucks last week and I am LOVING it so much.)
3. Squealing Pigs by Admiral Fallow
4. We Don’t Eat by James Vincent McMorrow
5. Nobody’s You by Matt Wertz

Looking at this list is making me so very glad I decided to start picking up those download cards at Starbucks. 3 out of 5 of the songs were free downloads I otherwise would never have heard.

“It’s Monday What Are You Reading” is a weekly event hosted by Sheila that lets you share books you’ve read over the past week and books you have coming up.

I kind of took another little blogging break, so this is what I’ve read since my last Monday post. My reading has also slowed down, so the list isn’t all that big. What can I say, I’ve been swept up in Stanley cup playoff fever and watching hockey games every other day doesn’t leave much room for reading ;)

Finished:
The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton
Sleeping Arrangements by Madeleine Wickham
Among The Mad by Jacqueline Winspear

Posted:
13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson
Soundtrack Saturday – Ruffles on my Longjohns

Currently Reading: Ruffles on my Longjohns by Isabel Edwards

Up Next: Something from the TBR shelves – they’ve started to overflow again! Must get that under control.

What are you reading and listening to? Did any new books find their way into your possession?

I enjoyed Sleeping Arrangements…I find that I actually like her books as “Madeleine Wickham” more than the Kinsella ones.

    Here’s MY MONDAY MEMES POST

My TBR shelves sound a lot like yours! Good luck getting them down to a smaller size! :-) Today I’m reading and listening to American Gods. Have a great week!

Kate Morton is a most visceral writer! Great books!

My TBR stacks are totally out of control and all you books sound good so it will probably get bigger yet!!

I have 13 Little Blue Envelopes on my TBR. I hope to get it started this week.

I celebrated 24 years of keeping a book diary. The flu kept me from reading at my usually insane pace but I did finish some books. Come see what they were.

Ruffles sounds different and fun. I look forward to reading more about it.
