Soundtrack Saturday – Losing Faith by Denise Jaden

Soundtrack Saturdays an opportunity to share a song I think would fit on the soundtrack for the book I’m currently reading.

Feel free to join in! Either leave your soundtrack pick or the link to your soundtrack post in the comments.

From the author’s website:
When Brie’s sister, Faith, dies suddenly, Brie’s world falls apart. As she goes through the bizarre and devastating process of mourning the sister she never understood and barely even liked, everything in her life seems to spiral farther and farther off course. Her parents are a mess, her friends don’t know how to treat her, and her perfect boyfriend suddenly seems anything but.
As Brie settles into her new normal, she encounters more questions than closure: Certain facts about the way Faith died just don’t line up. Brie soon uncovers a dark and twisted secret about Faith’s final night…a secret that puts her own life in danger.

Soundtrack Song: “I Just Don’t Think I’ll Ever Get Over You” by William Fitzsimmons
Why did I pick this song, and this cover of it? Mostly because it’s beautiful and sad and catches that “I miss you and everything is different now” feel perfectly. But also because there are a couple lyrics that stuck out to me relating to Brie’s grief. Faith sung beautifully and after she died Brie could still hear Faith’s humming in her head, following her everywhere.

Your face it dances and it haunts me
Your laughter’s still ringing in my ears
I still find pieces of your presence here

What song would you add to the soundtrack for this book or the one you’re currently reading?
