Wrapping Up September 2010

October 8, 2010

September seemed to pass in a blur, and it already seems almost too far into October for a wrap-up post. Yet, here we are. Back in May I decided to start re-reading the Harry Potter series and read it in its entirety for the first time since the last book was released. I finished the series during September, and let me tell you, reading all 7 books within a few short months seemed to make Book 7 even more emotional and epic. It might be a while before I revisit the series, but next time I hope to check out the audio version.

I don’t really have any plans for October, other than to fit a couple creepy-ish books in there. Right now all I have is We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson, so that will definitely be read and maybe also an Agatha Christie mystery.

What was the highlight of your September reading? Any plans for October?

Books Finished:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling
Flawless by Sara Shepard
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows
Italian for Beginners by Kristin Harmel
Sparrows on Wheels by Heidi Janz

Favourite Book: I can’t pick between the two, so it’s a tie this month. Loved both Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (of course) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.

Least Favourite Book: Italian for Beginners

Soundtrack Saturdays:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Italian for Beginners
Sparrows on Wheels

The highlight of my September reading was finishing all of The Hunger Games Trilogy in less than a week…
