2 weeks ’till Lilith time!

A while back I made a little announcement about my summer plans. In anticipation of the rapidly approaching tour, I’m going to countdown some of the artists I’m looking forward to seeing. In no particular order. Now, there’s a fairly good chance I won’t actually have time to watch any of them, but hopefully I’ll be able to catch strains of their music as I run like mad through each venue :)

Two weeks!!! I need to start packing. I have, however, already put a pile of books aside that I’m going to bring with me.

One of the artists I’m most looking forward to is Tegan and Sara. [Side note: How many artists named Sara(h) are on this tour??!] I can’t say exactly how or when I first heard of Tegan and Sara. They seem to have been creeping onto my radar over the last couple years, through tv spots, independent radio, and coworkers’ playlists. They’re one of those artists that’s everywhere without being in your face.

I had a heck of a time trying to decide with video to go with for this post. Call It Off? Back In Your Head? One of the new ones? After much deliberation, here for your listening pleasure is The Con.

Tour Countdown #1: Sarah McLachlan
Tour Countdown #2: Lissie
Tour Countdown #3: Sara Bareilles
Tour Countdown #4: Lucy Schwartz

(I apologize for the overabundance of music posts lately. I should have a bookish post up in the next day or so. I know, a bookish post on a bookish blog? Who woulda thought.)
