teasertuesdays31Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly event hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading. It’s easy enough to play along, just follow the Teaser Tuesdays link for rules.

Today’s teaser comes from Damas, Dramas, and Ana Ruiz by Belinda Acosta.

To say Carmen was angry was to put it softly. That girl was as furious as a blister, as mean as a sunburn, as popping mad as water sprinkled on hot oil. Carmen Ruiz was as angry as a fourteen-year-old daddy’s girl can be without her hair catching fire. (p. 5)

What are you teasing us with today?

Great teaser — Carmen sounds like a holy terror and yet I really want to know why she’s so angry!

Some great similes to get across her anger. Now what made her this way?
