Monday Round Up (03.01.10)
“What are you reading on Mondays” is a weekly event hosted by Sheila that lets you share books you’ve read over the past week and books you have coming up.
Finished:
The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom *review to come*
The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman *review to come*
Started: Angels by Marian Keyes
Up next: I really want to read The Book Thief by Markus Zusak soon, but I might sneak one or two books in before it.
Library Loot is hosted by Eva at A Striped Armchair and Marg at Reading Adventures.
I wasn’t planning on picking up any library books this week, but had a few I needed to return and so of course took a little look around. I managed to find two books to bring home with me.
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict by Larie Viera Rigler
Mailbox Monday is a weekly event hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page.
I had one book arrive in the mail this week:
Against Medical Advice by James Patterson and Hal Friedman (won from Bermudaonion)
What are you reading? Did any new books find their way into your possession?
Five Love Languages really helped me not only understand my husband better, but each of our 4 kids too. It is such a valuable book. The Book Thief was one of my favorites a couple of years ago–one of those kind of books that stay with you long after finishing.
*smiles and happy reading*
Don’t know why but I’ve been putting off The Book Thief for ages – maybe because everyone keeps telling me I must read it.
Happy reading!
I was surprised that I liked The Five People You Meet in Heaven. It’s not my normal kind of book. But I did like it and I’m glad I read it. Enjoy your books this week!
Happy reading! My mailbox is at The Crowded Leaf.
I just picked up Confessions at B&N for cheap! Looking forward to getting to it.
Here is my Monday: http://thelostentwife.net/2010/03/01/its-monday-what-are-you-reading-10/
I loved Katherines. Happy reading!
Happy reading to you this week. Enjoy!
I avoided The Book Thief for awhile myself. I feel like I have to be just in the right mood to read a “war” book, but I am glad I did finally read it. It’s a great book, but very heavy.
Oh, The Book Thief is sooooo good! It’s told from a very interesting perspective. I loved it! I’m finally reading “The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo” which so far is excellent. I’m also reading a non-fiction book written by a woman with autism called “Thinking in Pictures.” I hope you have a great reading week!
I really enjoyed The Five People, can’t wait to see what you thought.
*puts hand up* another who wants to read The Book Thief but for some reason or another still haven’t yet…I’m really anxious to read your review of this!
I loved Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict. It was a lot of fun! I hope you enjoy reading it. Here is my monday post:

I read The Five Love Languages many years ago. I have The Book Thief but haven’t read it yet. Have a great week.
Looks like a good reading week! Have a wonderful one! THanks for stopping by my blog!
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t get reviews up immediately. ::grin:: Hope you’re having a great reading week.
I have read both of the “Five” books you completed this past week. Both were good and I hope you enjoyed them as well.
Have a super weekend. I am so late this week getting around to all the blogs :)
your library loot is great…read them both and hope you enjoyed them!! :D
