Book #22 – A Complicated Kindness

July 5, 2009

Alright, I’ve decided that my next book will be A Complicated Kindness by Miriam Toews. I picked this book up from one of my favourite libraries – my mom’s bookcase. My local library has probably thought that I’ve stopped reading because it’s been so long since I’ve been there to take out a book.

I haven’t heard anything about this book, except from my mom, but it sounds really interesting. It’s about Nomi, a girl who grows up in a small Mennonite town and is trying to find the truth behind her mom & sister’s mysterious disappearance.

A little side note: I took a look at Miriam Toews’ biography at the back of the book…she has won the national magazine gold medal in humour. Is that like the Humour Olympics?

Okay – off to do some reading!
