Tune in Tuesday (11.15.11)
I’ve decided to put Soundtrack Saturday on hiatus for the time being, which shouldn’t come as much of a surprise since I can’t even remember the last time I did one. But, I still want to share music with you guys! So, I’m going join in on Tune in Tuesday for my weekly music fix instead. Yay!
Tune in Tuesday is hosted by GReads and is meant to showcase music we love, old and new. I’ll be featuring songs I’ve come across here and there that I think EVERYONE should be introduced to :)
The first song I’ve decided to share with you guys? “There Are Very Tiny Beasts In The Ground” by We Are The City. This is an album that everyone I work with seemed to be listening to two years ago, so yes I feel a little bit late to the party. But I think I needed the hype to die down a bit for me to get into them. In A Quiet World is an atmospheric, someone experimental indie rock album, and it is just so good. It’s the kind of music that begs to be listened to live at a small club in the early hours. “Feel Is A Word” and “Astronomers” are also very good, but right from the start “There Are Very Tiny Beasts In The Ground” stood out as my favourite.

I love the intro.
