Monday Round Up (10.11.10)
Mailbox Monday is a weekly event started by Marcia at The Printed Page. October’s host is Avis at She Reads and Reads.
Three books arrived in mail last week, all of which were all part of a Book Blogger Appreciation week prize pack I won from Jennifer at The Introverted Reader.
Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen
Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver
On Agate Hill by Lee Smith
“It’s Monday What Are You Reading” is a weekly event hosted by Sheila that lets you share books you’ve read over the past week and books you have coming up.
Finished: The Heretic’s Daughter by Kathleen Kent *review to come*
Currently reading: Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
Up next: I honestly have no idea. I’ll probably use the trusty random.org to pick something from my TBR shelf.
What are you reading? Did any new books find their way into your possession?
Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians :)

All look like good books!
I think I am finally out of reading slump!
Here is my Monday post!
Garden Spells is good. I like Sugar Queen by the same author.
The books look good…I’ll be anxious to read your review of The Heretic’s Daughter. I started it, but just couldn’t connect with the story.
Enjoy your books!
Here’s my Monday:

I completely understand – I had hard time getting through the first half.
Love all of Sarah Addison Allen’s writing! Garden Spells is one of my favorites.
Have a great week!
Here’s to Mockingjay!!
Here is mine
You know I just love it when you dont know what to read….LOL :) A Wrinkle in Time in on your TBR and is one I hope to one day read and of course I would put a vote in for The Book Thief which I thought was fantastic!
Ha! I’m glad my indecisiveness makes you laugh :)
I hope you are enjoying Mockingjay. I liked it. My Monday Report is here. Happy reading!
I adored Prodigal Summer. Have a brilliant time choosing which to read this week. My Monday is here: http://www.rundpinne.com/2010/10/its-monday-what-are-you-reading-1011.html
or you could just grab what grabs your eye–
The funny thing is, I totally just found the copy of Garden Spells that I bought while on a vacation with my family. What timing….
The Heretic’s Daughter has caught my eye every time I have seen it. Hope you enjoyed it. Have a great week!

I LOVED Garden Spells! I hope you enjoy it too — there’s just something about magic and cooking and that Southern charm that hooks me in every time! Here’s my Mailbox: Coffee and a Book Chick — Mailbox Monday…
I really enjoyed Mockingjay and hope you are too! Hm. I’ve never thought about using random.org to pick my next read.. may have to try that some day…
That is a real nice prize package! I have Garden Spells but haven’t gotten to it yet. Everyone seems to love it! Enjoy!
I loved Prodigal Summer although Poisonwood Bible was definitely my favorite of hers. Have a super week!

Loved Garden Spells. Sarah Addison Allen is awesome. Enjoy!!
I’ve read Garden Spells but the other books are new to me. Enjoy your week.
Did you like Heretic’s Daughter? I was so looking forward to it, and it just fell flat for me.
It was…. not as great as I thought it would be.
I see you received a Barbara Kingsolver book. The Poisonwood Bible is one of my favorite books but it’s the only one I’ve ever read. Have you read any of her other books?
No, I’ve only read The Poisonwood Bible by her and that was years ago. It didn’t even click that she had written that book until I saw all these comments about it!
Cool wins. I loved both Garden Spells and Prodigal Summer. Enjoy :)
