Soundtrack Saturday – Anna Karenina
Soundtrack Saturdays is a little thing where I share a song with you that I think would fit on the soundtrack for the book I’m currently reading. Feel free to join in!
Current Read: Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
One Sentence Summary: One sentence is pretty much impossible for this book. So. Russian high society in the mid/late 1800′s.
Soundtrack Song: “With Love From Me To You” by Watashi Wa, from the album The Love Of Life.
Why I chose this song: This song came on while I was reading Anna Karenina on my way to work on Friday morning, and it seemed to fit so well with Vronsky’s immediate infatuation with Anna. I feel like I should be picking something more serious for Tolstoy, or at least more Russian, but hey, love at first sight is a theme that transcends generations and cultures.
Well I’ve had a thousand dreams, but never one like this.
And I’ve felt a million things, but never felt quite, quite like this.
So tell me, what’s your name? And what’s inside that heart of yours?
Tell me everything, just talk and I’ll listen.
Just talk and I’ll listen
What song would you add to the soundtrack for this book or the one you’re currently reading?

Ya know, I have never tried this book. Odd! ;)
